Poppy brooches raise more than £1k for charity
MORE than £1,230 has been donated by Hancock and Wood on Bridge Street to the Royal British Legion this year.
The cash was raised following the store selling more than 1,200 diamante poppy brooches.
Susie Hancock, from the store, said: "We are very proud to be donating an overall total of £1,230 to a cause which we have been supporting since the end of the First World War."
