ALL over the country people are dusting off their yellow furry ears, hosting bake sales and sporting their best fancy dress outfits for Children in Need and Warrington is no exception.
This year's appeal has already kicked off in Warrington and the town has once again stepped up to the charity challenge.
Kind-hearted youngsters from Stepping Stones childcare in Westbrook braved the gloomy weather to walk to Callands Park and host a picnic this morning in aid of Children in Need.
The children walked a total of four miles.
Staff at BT on the Gemini Retail Park hosted a charity bake sale for the worthy cause with Pudsey the Bear even making an appearance.
St Stephen's Catholic Primary School in Orford held a cake sale after year two pupil Molly McGowan wrote a letter to her head teacher asking if they could raise money for Children in Need.
The school on Sandy Lane received so many tasty donations that they didn't manage to see all the good so the extras will be donated to a food bank.
Children in Need currently supports around 2,500 projects in the UK.
Through generous donations, the charity provides grants to initiatives which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.
