A £15,000 BID to improve a footpath in Woolston Park South has been submitted.

Parish councillors have submitted a request to Warrington Borough Council’s East Neighbourhoods Board for funds to improve a footpath leading from Manchester Road through the park.

The estimated cost of the project is between £10,000 and £15,000 and would allow the potential of the 150m path to be widened further as part of a planned cycle route between Birchwood and Stockton Heath.

The bid is one of several competing for funding across East Warrington with decisions set to be made by the East Neighbourhoods Board in the coming days.
