Cycling fever has struck me - and I think I'm passing it on!
Today my colleague Davd Chana, the Guardian's web editor and the man behind this lovely website, has assured me he will cycle in the 10 miles from St Helens on his mountain bike.
David 'the maverick' Chana
I think he's doing it partly to shut me up - I keep badgering him to give cycling a go, and trying to convince him to buy the £560 Trek 1200 2006 on sale in The Edge Cycleworks by Central Station (I'm not on commission, just think it's a good buy, and would be his size at 56cm).
My girlfriend is also toying with getting back on her mountain bike down in Bristol.
And the publisher of all the Guardian newspapers in Cheshire, Eleanor Underhill, has invited me to her cycling clubs 10-mile club run and is toying with trying to cycle into work.
Cycling fever is a sickness we should all catch!
