RACIST graffiti has been cleared from Meeting Lane community centre after complaints from residents.
The insults and slogans like Penketh Boys 2006' were daubed on the back of the building in Penketh.
Doug Sinnot, from Norton Avenue in Penketh, who sent in pictures of the graffiti (above) and contacted the council, said: "I asked Warrington Borough Council if it could be removed and the lighting improved to deter youths from congregating there, drinking and spreading litter. It's a pity the way this facility has been allowed to deteriorate."
Alan Fitzpatrick, head of street services at Warrington Borough Council, said: "We have been in contact with Great Sankey Leisure Centre and, due to the offensive nature of the graffiti, a Street Services Team has visited the site to carry out a clean-up."
