PLANT pot vandals have continued to strike in Padgate.
A planter worth £200 has been stolen from Padgate Station, only weeks after 14 pots funded by the Longbarn Residents’ Association were damaged on Harpers Road.
The plants on Harpers Road were moved in an attempt to stop anti-social behaviour there, but it seems to have only served to move the attention of vandals elsewhere.
Geoff Orange, chairman of the Longbarn Resident’s Association, said: “After a long period of vandalism to the planters along Harpers Road it was very disappointing and discouraging to find that one of two planters situated on the Eastbound platform of Padgate Station had been stolen.
“Lots of residents have put in a lot of work in an attempt to brighten up the station – these thieves have got to be caught.”
