TWO truck drivers parked up at Christ Church Primary School in Padgate as part of an educational scheme which is the driving force behind HGVs safety talks.
DHL instructors Jason Bennett and Gary Vickers visited the school on Station Road to raise awareness as part of a national safety training programme run by the DHL.
It aims to help keep children safe around larger vehicles on the road and targets children aged seven to 11 years old as they start to travel independently.
Jason said: "The children found it very informative.
"Some people do not realise the full extent of the dangers of trucks.
"The children are given important pieces of advice including how to walk safely around the vehicle, where to stand on the pavement and what to do should a football runs under a truck."
