ST Matthew's CE Primary School has received an 'outstanding' Ofsted report after consistently delivering standards 'significantly above the national average'.
The Stretton school, which has improved from 'good', was commended for helping children 'thrive' in their early years and for the effort placed on providing detailed feedback to pupils.
It was praised for the 'highly effective' tracking of pupils' progress on its way to securing 'outstanding' in each of the five inspection areas.
There was also recognition for children's co-operation with each other to create a 'warm and harmonious atmosphere throughout the school', as well as the 'excellent attitudes to learning' displayed.
Head teacher, Hazel Fryman, said: "We are extremely delighted our school has been judged an outstanding school in all areas.
"This is a tremendous achievement and is one that the school community truly deserves.
"I am thrilled that the inspectors recognised the tireless hard work, commitment, dedication and diligent professionalism that occurs every day across our school.
"We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure our children work together, aim high and shine bright."
The school's chairman of governors, Jane Morris, said she was 'thrilled' with the achievement.
She added: "It is all down to the hard work and commitment shown by all of the staff and pupils."
