TRAFFIC problems in Park Road were voted the number one priority at the recent Sankey North Community Action Meeting (Cam) held at Tim Parry Community Centre.
Residents said the main problem was people using it as a rat run to avoid the traffic lights at the Trigger Pond Pub.
Clr Trudi Wood, (LD), Sankey North, said they had presented a petition saying they were using it as a rat run' at speeds of around 60mph.
The vote was Park Road speeding 47 votes, dog fouling 21, traffic in Barrowhall Lane 16, damage to bushes near Barrowhall Lane nine, cold callers nine, and using mobile phones will driving six.
Police will now target the Park Road problem and report back to the next meeting on Thursday, May 31, at 7.30pm, also at Tim Parry Community Centre.
