A CCTV camera at Hood Manor shops should be a welcome deterrent to the area's problems with crime and vandalism, said a councillor and Hood Manor resident.
The camera has been running for around three weeks and is a temporary one supplied by Warrington Crime Reduction Partnership.
Clr Jim Regan, (LD-Sankey South), who lives in Hood Manor, said: "I think, and people from the shops in the area think, it will improve the situation in the long term."
Warrington Borough Council is looking at the cost of fitting permanent cameras.
