LYMM'S annual duck race has been cancelled due to the cost of road closures.
The charity event, which is traditionally held on Easter Monday, raises thousands of pounds for good causes in the area.
But this year's event has been cancelled at the last minute because of the high costs of closing roads - especially around the lower dam where the event finishes.
Organisers, from Lymm Round Table, have been looking to find an alternative venue but without success.
They remain hopeful of staging the event in future years.
As previously reported in the Warrington Guardian, many community events across Warrington have been cancelled or re-routed because of the costs of closing roads.
