PUPILS at an Orford school have raised more than £2,000 to help victims of the Nepal earthquake.
Classes from years three and four at St Margaret’s CE Primary School held a sponsored bounce and skip to raise the money to help people affected by the earthquake.
Each pupil had to bounce a ball or skip for two minutes in order to complete the challenge.
Year three teacher Kate Westbrook said: “It is an amazing amount for the pupils to have raised.
“They have been learning about water and were going to raise money for Water Aid but When they heard about the disaster in Nepal they asked if they could do something to help.”
The event was organised by phase leader Jo Makin.
