BUILDING on the success of last year’s event, the first in more than 30 years, Rixton-with-Glazebrook Carnival is returning to the Village Green in June.
The family fete was relaunched following a Parish Plan survey in 2012 when many residents said they would like to see it again.
Music will be provided by Cadishead Band and Bateria Barulho de Cima samba band with a variety of dance routines from Dance Rhythm, Warrington Wolves Fusion and Manchester Morris Men.
There will be a climbing wall, rodeo bull, teacups ride, circus skills workshops and petting zoo while in the Scout Centre there will be local history exhibitions.
Vintage vehicles, sports cars and a fire engine will also be on display.
Rixton-with-Glazebrook Carnival is free and will be held on the Village Green on Saturday, June 27, from 11am to 4pm.
