TREES of remembrance for two brothers who tragically lost their lives in 1988 have been put up at Bewsey Lodge Primary School.
Former pupils David Isherwood, who died aged 4, and Andrew, who died aged 9, were brutally mowed down by a reckless driver in Greece on their first holiday abroad.
After the tragic deaths two remembrance trees were planted in the old school garden but had to be removed when the new building took shape.
However, the school has now planted two trees in the school's forest area, which will remain in place forever.
Parents of the boys, Howard and Joan, joined year six pupils Richard Riley and James Prescott to plant the eternal trees.
A celebration of David's and Andrew's lives also took place where two balloons, each attached with poems of remembrance wrote by year six pupils, were released into the sky.
Head teacher, Emma Wright, wished to thank the family for allowing the school to keep the memory of the boys alive.
She said: "I would like to thank the family for keeping in touch with the school and allowing us to be part of their celebrations of the boys’ lives."
