On Friday 16th March, local charity Warrington Disability Partnership welcomed 10 employees from British Nuclear Group as part of the company's 'Employee Community Day Challenge: 2007'.

With paint brushes and garden spades in hand the BNG team with help from WDP staff and volunteers swiftly got to work decorating part of the Centre for Independent Living centre on Beaufort Street. The volunteers with green fingers also applied their skills in doing a make-over of the garden beside the Centre.

Pauline Deans, Community Affairs Officer at British Nuclear Group, said: "It is really important to create a welcoming environment for everyone who visits Warrington Disability Partnership. The challenge helps to develop team working with our employees and puts into practice the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility. The project benefits both the employees taking part and the community."

Dave Connor, Assistant Operations Manager of WDP said "the generosity of the British Nuclear Group employees has made a big difference in our 'Community Build' appeal. Their hard work in helping our charity further develop the Centre for Independent Living is greatly appreciated by everyone that works here."
