AN Earlestown bar was shut down by police.
Rosie's Bar on Earle Street was closed by Merseyside Police as part of its crackdown on licensing breaches.
The Earle Street bar was visited on Thursday and found to be trading without a designated premises supervisor, breaching a licence condition and making it illegal for them to sell alcohol. The business has a new owner but it had not informed St Helens Council.
The bar was closed until Friday.
