TWO men have been found guilty of a robbery that took place in 2004.
Alan Simpson, aged 44, and 28-year-old Peter O'Neil, both of Liverpool, were both charged following an armed robbery at a warehouse on the Deacon Trading Estate in Newton.
On Sunday, July 18, 2004, a security guard was approached by a number of men wearing balaclavas. He was tied up and held in the warehouse while the men stole goods including JVC branded electrical equipment such as plasma TVs, camcorders DVD and VHS recorders.
Both men appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on March 12. Mr Simpson pleaded guilty and Mr O'Neil was found guilty by a jury.
The men were expected to be sentenced later this week.
