IT'S not too late to book a table!

That's the message from organisers of Culcheth and Glazebury's Community Day.

So far only about 15 of the 40 stalls available have been taken up for the annual May 7 event.

In recent years, voluntary groups and charities have raised an average of £200 each, some even as much as £500, so the official deadline of March 7 has been extended so that no-one missed out.

"If any charity hasn't yet booked a stall they can still get in touch with me," said Culcheth and Glazebury parish councillor Delia Caswell.

"Usually we have 40 different charities, but we've only got 15 confirmed at present. It's been going for more than 30 years and the sheer amount of people turning up means they can raise far more than the parish council can ever give."

Community Day this year will feature entertainment including a brass band, dance troupes, a car club, a pet show, clowns and a sheepdog trained to round up ducks!
