PENKETH Parish Council wants a meeting with Penketh High School over the school's plans to create leisure facilities.
The school has asked for the council's support, but the council runs the pool and youth centre and wants to make sure its own facilities do not lose out.
Clr Linda Dirir (Lab - Penketh) said: "The community around the school already has a lot of problems with parking and we need to be careful about the impact on our facilities.
"We need a meeting to thrash it all out.
"We have not got much time at the moment when we are free from disturbance at the school. We would like to keep that time rather than have the school that never sleeps."
