PENKETH Gardens and Greystone Rec are hopefully in line to be made alcohol free-zones, the most recent parish council meeting heard.
The meeting heard the news had come at the March Penketh Community Action Meeting with the police.
Clr Linda Dirir, also a Labour borough councillor for Penketh, said: "That's a massive move in the right direction. I just hope that enough people write in to support it. It's what the police are looking for."
