THREE new police community support officers will be patrolling the streets of Orford.
And regular community action meetings are set to take place.
PCSO Hayley Moss will cover the Grasmere and Greenwood patch, while fellow PCSOs Barbara O'Grady and Dean Bickerton will patrol the Poplars and Hulme area.
They will work hand in hand with police officer Gary Wigglesworth and existing PCSO Michelle Nisbet.
The first CAM will be held next Monday at Orford Library from 7pm to 8pm for residents living in the Hilden Island, Capesthorne Road, Darwen Gardens, Festival Avenue and Fairbrother Crescent area.
Representatives from Golden Gates Housing, Warrington Borough Council and the Environment Agency have been invited to attend along with area PCSOs and ASBO officers.
Ward councillor Brian Maher will also be in attendance.
The purpose of the meeting is for the new PCSOs to introduce themselves to the community and to give residents the chance to direct the focus of community policing in the area.
Residents will be asked to vote on what they think are the main issues in the area. Once these have been established, police will prioritise the top three and work on them for the next nine weeks.
A follow up meeting will then be held to give feedback.
PCSO Nisbet said: "The idea is for us to focus on what the community thinks is the most important areas for us to tackle, instead of us tackling what we perceive to be the problems. This way they can tell us what is bothering them the most and we can concentrate on that."
The team has already conducted a community action team walk around the area with residents to identify problems and postcard surveys are also available from local shops. And a leaflet drop is also planned for the area.
