Warrington Disability Partnership's accessible narrow boat Wizard' will be making its return to the Bridgewater Canal from April for a full season of free day trips.
Following last year's successful Wizard appeal with the support of numerous local organisations and individuals, she is now 100% ready following her extensive re-fit throughout 2006. Sporting not only new colours, the Wizard now enjoys a brand new engine, fully accessible bathroom, kitchenette and re-fitted lift.
Based at Thorn Marine in Stockton Heath and run by volunteers, the Wizard continues its tradition of providing free trips along the scenic canal for local disability groups, hospices, nursing homes and respite trips for disabled people, children and their families.
WDP can also offer boat trips to groups and organisations outside of the Warrington area in return for a small fee of £40 to cover costs.
