TWO conservation areas in Stockton Heath are set to merge.
The borough council feels it can manage the adjacent areas of London Road and Grappenhall Road better if they become one larger one.
Conservation areas are used to preserve areas of special architectural or historic interest by forcing planners to meet the strictest guidelines before building or destroying buildings.
