BIRCHWOOD High School is boasting it has the best mathematicians in the world after beating the Aussies in an on-line maths Ashes'.
The school joined others in the UK in going head to head with their cousins from Down Under in a three-day number-crunching marathon.
And Birchwood emerged top of the pile with 14 learners in the world's top 100 and leading scorer Shaun Jamieson earning 20,391 points.
