A PROPERTY show filmed a Warrington couple as they house hunted at three locations in town.

To Buy Or Not To Buy followed Emma Morris and Matthew Pridden as they looked to move into a three-bed semi-detached home with 15-month-old daughter Maddison.

The BBC1 series, which is presented by Ian Blandford and former kids TV favourite Jenny Powell, had selected homes in Sankey, Wilderspool and Hood Manor.

Jenny Powell told the Warrington Guardian: "They are a lovely young couple and they are looking for somewhere bigger and with a garden and a bit of space for the family."

The first property was 26 Winchester Avenue in Hood Manor, which is on the market for around £136,000.

Presenter Ian Blandford told the Guardian: "The property is in a good location with good schools but for the budget you miss out on some period features."

Emma, aged 24, a United Utilities employee, said the film crew had helped them be relaxed in front of the cameras.

"We're a bit nervous about it all, but excited as well," said Emma.

Matthew, aged 29, a production chemist, works for Applied Biosystems in Birchwood.

The couple have been looking for a new property for around a year. They sold their apartment in Norley Close in Whitecross and are living with relatives in Fir Grove in Bruche.

At the end of the viewings, the couple can spend a day at the house of their choice before deciding if they will take the plunge and buy it.

The show will go out in around six to eight weeks at 11am on BBC One.
