Firefighters are tackling a ferocious blaze in Newton.
They were called out at 6.30am this morning to tackle the fire, which started on a first floor flat on Cross Lane. Two firefighters have been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Four addresses have been evacuted and Cross Lane is still closed while eight fire crews deal with the fire.
