DETECTIVES are investigating an attempted robbery on a pensioner in Orford.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon at 1.40pm on Poplars Avenue, close to Howson Road, after grabbing an 81-year-old woman's handbag and attacking her.
The man was arrested soon after and remains in police custody.
Police are especially keen to speak to two passers-by who helped the woman and drove her to a relative's address on Orford Lane.
