The battle of fitness versus fatness is back on track.

Last night I decided to forego the advice that rest will aid my recuperation from man-flu, and instead of putting my feet up and watching the telly with a glass of hot orange, as advised, I headed upstairs to wage war on it via a few rounds on the punchbag and a few kilometres on the bike. Boy it felt good.

It felt even better when this morning's weigh in revealed I have lost another pound from last week. That being despite an ale and cake fuelled weekend.

However, although last night marked a new beginning of sorts, it was also the end of one of my big motivators. You see, usually I find sitting on an exercise bike, looking at the clock, calory counter, and mileage-meter every 30 seconds, about as exciting as watching Middlesborough Vs Aston Villa play out a goaless draw on a wet Monday night. So to help counter the boredom I went ballistic on my play.com account and ordered some dvd box sets to watch whilst I huffed and puffed away. At 90 minutes per episode, the one that's kept me most on-track and least bored has been the Steven Spielberg series Taken, which I finished last night.

Having already watched the x-files series 1 box set, and the first two series of Quantum leap very recently i'm left only with the Alan Bleasdale 7-parter Scully to watch. With each episode lasting only half an hour this means that by the weekend I'll be faced with the horrible reality of clockwatching again unless I get something new to view by then.

So, reader, any thoughts on what I should order?
