A GUNMAN is on the run after a man was shot last night, Thursday.
The 31-year-old victim was shot in the leg when he answered the door at a house on Vulcan Close, Padgate at 8pm.
Armed police were called to the scene.
The man who is being treated at Warrington Hospital is not believed to be in a serious condition.
A spokeman for Warrington Police said: "We believe this is not a random shooting but a targeted attack.
"We want to reassure the public that this an isolated incident."
A 31-year-old man at the same address was arrested on a drugs related incident.
