Greenalls housing plan and distillery move to Risley has been recommended for approval - as exclusively predicted by the Warrington Guardian.
The three development sites and move to Melbury Court have been judged to meet the council's policies The scheme will now before the planning committee at the town hall next Wednesday, March 14.
Councillors will have the final vote on whether it should go ahead.
The original distillery was burned down in the devastating fire of 2005.
