A FORLIFT truck driver hurled abuse at two female shop assistants after getting drunk, a court has heard.
Scott Forber, aged 25, of Grasmere Avenue, Orford, told police: I've been an idiot. I've had a few drinks' after the incident at the Spar shop, in Concorde Place, on Saturday, February 24.
Warrington Magistrates' Court heard how Forber returned three times to the shop to hurl more abuse and insults at the women, at least one of whom he appeared to know.
The father-of-four was also accused of swinging a black guitar case around which, despite admitting to having it in his possession, he denied.
John Barnes, defending, said alcohol caused the argument to get out of hand'.
He added: "I am sure he feels very embarrassed about it. He had been drinking and the threats were all rather silly. He is very remorseful for getting involved."
Forber was ordered to do 60 hours unpaid community work and pay £60 costs.
