SHRUB-COVERED paths in Birchwood are set to become a thing of the past.
That's because the town council maintenance teams have a new weapon - a mini-tractor!
Workers have just completed training to use the recently bought vehicle, which is armed with a flail.
It means that cutting back undergrowth on smaller footpaths in Birchwood will take less time and manpower, freeing up teams to cover problem areas more frequently.
