GREAT Sankey woman Anna Guildford has just been awarded a doctorate after completing her Phd at the University of Brighton, where she is employed a research fellow.
The 31-year-old, who grew up in Blandford Road, now lives in Brighton with her husband. She is a former pupils Great Sankey High School.
The title of her thesis was Effects of surface coating of stents in inflammation and in-stent restenosis' - in layman's terms is a study related to heart disease.
She also has a biomedical science degree from the University of Kingston.
