GYPSY Wood was given a spring clean at the weekend as Burtonwood Scouts teamed up with Burtonwood Environmental Group.
The area has already been transformed thanks to the work of youngsters from primary schools in the village, the environment group and the parish council.
The land used to be plagued by fly-tipping, but it is now gated off.
And, on Saturday, it was the turn of the Scouts to lend a hand.
Albert Scott, Burtonwood Environmental Group chairman, said: "Since the undergrowth has died down its exposed stuff we couldn't see last time so the Scouts went in with a trailer to finish it off.
"We are making a donation to the scout group of £200 and the council lent us the litter picking equipment."
