A PURPOSE-BUILT nursery facility has opened its doors to a new generation.
The new nursery located on the site of Beamont Infant School, on O' Leary Street, replaces the old one which was situated in a pre fabricated building.
It will eventually form part of a specialist children's centre for the Fairfield and Howley area, offering childcare for nought to three year olds as well as the current 60-place nursery.
Former Beamont Infants pupil Lyndsay Bray, who is now early years advisor and head of Sandy Lane Children's Centre, was invited to open the new nursery.
