CAMPAIGNERS against a health waste recycling plant in Orford are mobilising their efforts for the fight ahead.

Posters saying no' to the plans are currently being printed for display in cars and homes.

And public demonstrations are planned for each day of the four-day public inquiry at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, which starts on March 27.

Hundreds of residents packed the Parr Hall last year when councillors turned down the original application.

They fear that if the development near the old gas works on Winwick Road goes ahead waste such as syringes or dirty medical equipment will not be securely kept and could be dangerous, a claim refuted by the applicant.

Warrington Borough Council is opposed to the plans.

It has strongly argued that the site is unsuitable for waste management and councillors have called Warrington the dumping ground of Europe'.
