Our annual competition was judged this year by Swan Movie makers.

The results were: Winner Bournemouth and the Jurassic Coas a Super 8 film by Steve Ridout, awarded the Blamire Cup for the best film and the Cyril Baines trophy for best editing.

Venetian Interlude by Derek and Marjorie Belton came second in the competition and also claimed the Percy Hughes Shield for best photography. Aquatic Paradise by Dennis Arstall was awarded the Tetley Trophy for best use of sound.

Following on from these awards, the WCVS held their annual film and video show on February 24. This is the highlight of the Society's year when hard work is recognised.

An audience of about 65 people watched the competition-winning videos.

President Geoff Scotson was our host and he also presented the trophies.
