A DEAD body discovered on a park bench has been identified as a 31-year-old man from Great Sankey.
James Harding, of Keith Avenue, who is known in Warrington homeless shelters, was discovered at 7am on Wednesday morning in Bank Park, off Kendrick Street.
A spokesman for Warrington police said: "At this stage we are not treating the death as suspicious."
The area was cordoned off.
The cause of death will not be known until the post mortem examination is concluded later this month.
