Well this is the "official" start to my weight loss "journey" ( that sounds very american doesnt it lol ) I started dieting ( i hate that word ! ) last wednesday , and so far lost 4lbs ! how i did it is some sort of miracle ! as I still had a maccys this week and havent been EXTRA precautious with what fills my mouth ! LOL In fact i was half expecting to see a gain when i got weighed last night ! But in a way it has made me realise now that i CAN lose this weight and get in better shape ! So am here with a renewed determination to shed these pounds ( and stones ! LOL ) I dont know why i havent got my bum in gear before now , I have all the usual "excuses" ... I mean REASONS well used and practised..... look .....
"its so hard excersizing with a 5 month old baby and 2 kids "
"if i dont eat chocolate i will not have enough energy!"
"I will start next week !"
And every womans favourite ...... "oh not today i've got a headache"
Buying them ? ... nah didnt think so !
Thing is when i started last week i told myself i would aim at about 2.5 stone ..... but after working my BMI out ( dont do it they are evil things !!!!! ) I have now realised that the reality is although 2.5 stone would get me to where I want to be from a cosmetic point of view , if i want to acheive the healthy level i need to lose closer to 4 stone !
2 major problem areas .... no not my bum and stomach !!!! , My diet being that for the past god knows how long has been a sea-food ( see food and eat it !! ) and lack of real excersize ! I Walk the kids to school and back everyday and potter about here and there but I dont really do any concious excersize to help the situation ! i tend to bus it into town when i need to go which is just ridiculous as I am only a 20 minute walk !
Thing is I do struggle to walk too much because of a hip/pelvis problem ive still got from carrying my son ( he is 5 months old ) but i do think that is made so much worse by the extra weight..... so round full circle !
So each week i am going to set myself 3 goals and i WILL stick to them !
This weeks tasks are : Walk for at least 3 hours ( not in one go lol ) NOT eat any chocolate ( Boo hoo !!! )- i never realised that food could talk ! but i SWEAR there is chocolate in my fridge SCREAMING at me to eat it up NOW!!!!!!
Switch drinks to diet drinks ( YACK!!! Losing my full fat coke will KILL me !!!! ) I know that these wont make a huge difference in one week but combined with the general new rules of cutting out the rubbish and eating healthy food and more fruit and veg I am aiming to lose 2lbs this week !
And finally my Favourite Quote of the week : "Inside me is a slim woman screaming desperatly to get out ........... But I can usually shut her up with chocolate! "
