HUDDERSFIELD Giants have signed much sought after 18-year-old England Academy player Sam Barlow on a full time contract after he impressed at the club during a 6-week trial.
Barlow, a Back Row Forward, has joined the club on a two-year deal and Giants Head Coach Jon Sharp was pleased to secure his services: "He is very physical and athletic for one so young. He has plenty of ambition and confidence and has fitted in really well to the Giants environment on his trial and was accepted by his playing piers"
"Against Leigh in the Academy pre-season game he was the stand out player. He is very raw but has the basic athletic components we look for in developing a front/back row forward."
Barlow said: "Soon after arriving at the Giants on trial it became quite clear with the coaching systems in place and on meeting the team that this was where I wanted to secure my future. I am delighted to be given the opportunity at the Giants with a two year contract."
