A TEENAGER cheated death after crawling from a wreckage on a notoriously dangerous road.
Now his mum, Rita Saunders, says action is needed to stop more accidents happening on Wrights Green, Appleton Thorn, where the family lives.
Carl Saunders, aged 17, had been returning from work and was metres from home when a car came towards him and the Citroen Picasso he was driving spun off the road.
Mrs Saunders said: "My son was so lucky, he was driving safely and the driver who came speeding round the corner towards him didn't even stop when the car went off the road.
"It's a disgrace, something must be done."
The teenager escaped with bruises and whiplash following the incident on Sunday at 11.30pm.
Campaigners have long been calling for traffic measures on the road following a spate of smashes.
