VANDALS struck at the home of an Orford couple last week, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Pat Bell and her husband Derek, who live in Dovedale Close, heard a loud noise at 10pm only to find that vandals had torn down their garden fence.
An hour later, more vandals returned and were seen climbing on cars.
Police are now dealing with the incident and Arena Housing has been called in to look at replacing the fence.
Mrs Bell, aged 66, said: "I was in bed and my husband was downstairs when we heard the noise - we looked out of the window to see they had demolished the fence. But an hour later we heard more noise and, when we looked, could see kids climbing on my son's car. I don't know whether it was the same kids or a different group.
"What we really need to feel properly protected is a wall instead of a fence - that would be more secure."
