LYMM will soon have a whole new look after confirmation of a massive revamp for a vital community building.

Plans have been approved to totally renovate Lymm Library on Davies Way - and now bosses have confirmed that the Citizens Advice Bureau will also use the newly refurbished venue.

The new look building will also include a children's centre.

Clr Sheila Woodyatt told this month's meeting of Lymm Parish Council that she was delighted the scheme had finally got the go ahead.

She said: "This is just fantastic news and it will be a tremendous benefit to the community because, not only will the CAB move in, but the library will be bigger.

"The CAB will now be able to give a much better service to people."

The CAB covers the whole of south Warrington and equally exciting, according to councillors, is the inclusion of a children's centre on the site.

Clr Woodyatt added: "This will provide not only much needed facilities for the younger people in the village, but it can perhaps be made available for wider community use.

"It is wonderful and a lovely design that will be in keeping with the area."

The work should start no later than April and Clr Woodyatt said it can't come soon enough.

"It seems like we have been waiting 100 years for this," she said.

l As reported previously on the Lymm pages, the area around the library is set to be spruced up with new footpaths, landscaping and lighting.
