UNITED Utilities has been urged to take quicker action over leaks, following a case in Westy Lane.
The leak was reported on February 5, but it was not fixed until February 14.
Technicians from United Utilities said that as the water was running back into the main water supply, they would not have to rush the fix.
A spokesman for United Utilities said: "It was reported as an emergency shut off on February 5 and this shut the leak off. Our understanding is that it is a minor leak so it is nothing major. If it started gushing again we would treat it as an emergency."
