Well after the massive high we was on after the Wigan game, to lose against Bradford was a massive low for the whole team.
To say we was disappointed is a massive understatement. It was the way we lost the game that was disappointing, we feel Bradford didn't win that game because they played well, we feel we lost because we played poor. The number of loose passes and dropped balls in the early part of the game cost us. I thought we came out of our own half well, with the forwards and backs making good yards, and Lee Briers put some great kicks in on our half 30 meter line which turned them back to there own 10 meters. It was in the Bradford 20 meters that we lacked composure and patiance, but thats something that will come as the season goes on. The commitment and the way we played the game i thought was as good as the Wigan game, but we do need to be more clinical with our options and passes. All the lads are very confident and looking forward to getting back on the field against Hull, confidence is one thing this team isn't lacking and that must be a good sign and its something we may have lacked before. This week in training we have been speaking about completing our sets of six in the opponents half and getting a result, which could be get to a kick, get a goal line drop out or the best result of a try, if we can dominant this week in this area of the field then i have no doubt that we'll win the game, But have no doubt about it, Hull will be making it very difficult for us. Hull have some very big and experianced players in their team and they will be looking for their first win of the season, so it should be a great game. We know that its going to be a bash up for us forwards, but we never expect anything less from Hull because they are a big physical team, and with the signing of Sing on the right wing and Garth Raynor on the left wing they have the ability to score trys, so it should prove a massive test for us.
On a lighter note there as been plenty team banter this week with a look-a-likes board going up at training, there are plenty of Shrek looking ones up there at the moment but i'll let you guess who they could be, but one of the funniest is Richie Barnett as Axel Foley from Beverly Hills Cop, he's a ringer.
Speak soon, Woody.
