As a centre, winger or back rower few players in the game today can match Paul Johnson for consistency or professionalism. Johnson is a very good technical player with strong defence who will shoulder a high work rate for the team, but he also brings a powerful strike threat out wide where he is a damaging runner with a good scoring rate whether playing in the forwards or backs. Moves to Warrington after a highly distinguished career to date, which saw him collect Super League honours with both his hometown club Wigan (1998) and Bradford (2005) and played in a victorious Wigan side in the 2002 Challenge Cup Final. He made his Great Britain bow in the 2001 Ashes series, finishing the tournament as Great Britain's "Back of the Series" playing on the wing. He has totalled 13 Test caps and holds the most recently recorded hat-trick for the Lions, against New Zealand at Loftus Road in 2005. Likely to be used by the Wolves primarily as one half of an international centre partnership with Martin Gleeson.
