THE shoppers bus in Lymm has had its contract extended to August.
Rumours had been rife in the village that it was due to be cut but Clr Ian Marks (LD - Lymm) told the parish council of the extension.
Lymm Parish Council has also agreed to lobby for the reintroduction of an evening bus service to Lymm.
As previously reported in the Warrington Guardian, the service has been cut earlier this year and the last bus now runs from to Lymm to Warrington at around 7.30pm.
