A PLOT of land which has been left mostly empty after plans to build apartments and shops stalled could be transformed with a new plan.
Countryside Properties in association with Your Housing Group has put forward plans to build a new estate including apartments and homes on the land on the corner of Church Street and Farrell Street in Howley.
Their plan would see 107 new homes being built on the site, which was partly demolished several years ago with a small business still remaining on the land.
Under the plan the new development would consist of two storey two and three bedroom housing and just over 50 per cent of the site will be two bedroom apartments based in a block of up to four storeys high.
The road access to the site will be from Farrell Street to the corner of the plot with a road and associated parking and landscaping throughout the development.
The scheme has been under 12 months of development and residents can have their say and view the full project at warrington.gov.uk and a decision on the scheme will be taken by the council's planning department.
