A HOWLEY nail artist has been enjoying success after helping Great Britain clinch a brace of medals at a European competition.
Rianne Chester, aged 21, won silver at the EuroSkills in Lille for her nail work.
The event sees young apprentices and students compete in a range of skills from building, cooking, floristry to things like hairdressing.
And Rianne, who trained at Warrington Collegiate and works at Akira Nails & Beauty, helped the Great Britain team collect three gold medals and six silver medals.
Across the 25 countries competing in EuroSkills 2014, based on average score, the UK ranked in fifth place during the event which took place from 1 to 5 October.
EuroSkills is held every two years in one of the member states of WorldSkills Europe.
Skills Minister Nick Boles said: “Congratulations to Team UK. They have demonstrated that when it comes to skills the UK has world class ability. Team UK are ambassadors for our country and demonstrate how high quality apprenticeships can lead to successful careers. I offer my congratulations to Team UK who delivered an outstanding performance at EuroSkills 2014.”
All members of Team UK including Rianne are currently in training for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015.
