BUDDING authors at Newchurch Primary School were inspired by a visit form Tom Palmer.
The prize-winning author worked with every child across key stage two sharing his knowledge of the literary world.
His books, which are centred around the themes of football and rugby, encouraged the children to engage with reading and writing through topics they are passionate about.
Jayne Narraway, acting head teacher, said: "The children were enthralled by his visit and particularly loved the sports quizzes and penalty shoot-out competitions."
Tom added: "Newchurch Primary is quite a school with lovely kids and excellent teachers."
